Accessible, Reliable, and Here for You
Our Centre’s Ring & Ride service provides safe, comfortable, and accessible transportation for individuals and small groups of up to seven passengers. Our specially designed minibuses are equipped with tail lifts, ensuring easy access for wheelchair users and those with mobility challenges.
This door-to-door transport service is available Monday to Friday and caters to people of all ages who find it difficult to use public transport, whether due to a long-term mobility issue, temporary disability, or other accessibility needs.
Operating within the local area, Ring & Ride can help you reach essential services, shops, healthcare appointments, and community activities. It can also connect you to existing transport links, making travel easier and more convenient. Longer trips may be arranged, subject to availability.

community transport & minibuses
Our Centre offers safe, accessible, and affordable transport solutions for individuals and groups. As a non-profit service, we provide a variety of minibuses and cars, ensuring reliable travel for shopping trips, medical appointments, social events, and more.

Minibuses accommodate up to 16 passengers, making them ideal for day trips, group meetings, and family occasions. They are equipped with rear passenger lifts and side steps for easy access.

Specially trained drivers assist with wheelchairs, buggies, and walkers and can also access key safes to help ensure client safety at home.
All trips must be booked in advance, and our team is happy to guide you through the eligibility process. Our goal is to keep you connected, mobile, and independent.
volunteer car scheme
Our Centre offers a volunteer car scheme. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who use their own time & vehicles to help isolated people across the Mansfield and Ashfield areas. If you need help to the shops, or a friendly face to help you get to appointments, visit friends or attend other social activities this may be for you.
Charges are per mile and all trips must be booked in advance with as much notice as is possible.

How to Register and Book:
Contact the transport team who are responsible for membership registration, bookings and the daily running of the schemes.
Please note that we are not a taxi scheme and bookings are required in advance, ideally at least 48 hours before your date of travel. We do not usually have vehicles available at short notice but will always try our best to assist for emergency GP and hospital appointments.
